Nice props, dat little spoon is my fav so far

I like them. Specially because they feel like they could exist into the same character's world

@Blair who cares haha, WIP's a WIP, the boar is a nice companion!

At first I thought she was gonna cook the poor guy... Then I saw that he has other utility :> And as long as it shows the idea it's a good wip

GOing NUTZOIDS with this :open_mouth: \m/
So much personality! ^_^

Or she can travel in a bowl, then boar can be cute mini-chef mount

that wip was so crappy i enjoyed it, nice update.
(your words, eh, cute stuff.)

@aveon Its good to post quick updates now and then!
@crazymoon hehe, its kind of evil in that way to have a boar as a companion~
Thanks for the feedback!
@art1ficer haha the scale would be crazy , I don't think I could make it detailed enough!

Here's the refined version, please feel free to call anything out that looks off, otherwise I'll call this part done and start the weapon tomorrow. Still aiming to get all of the high poly bits done by the end of the month!

Oh my gosh he's adorable Blair! Love how tufty the fur on top is

Ok. Definitely too cute to eat now :3 God damn he's adorable. Love how chunky you are keeping the pieces, very readable!

Nice job Blair! I really like her pig friend it looks so cute! I cant wait to see it finished =D

I really like all of this! You have a good grasp on the big shapes which is the most important thing, but all the little details are really cool too!

The piggie came out very cute. By the wearing of her props, she seems to more like eating and drinking, than fighting

Good luck Blair, can't wait to see more <3

Awesome work here! I really like your stylized sculpt :). great job !

Thanks very much guys! Been busy with work recently but managed to do some polishing and mess around with keyshot.

Zbrush render, need to experiment with colours for her costume and finalize a few things.

Here's the render I got from keyshot, I think my lights are too intense and causing some overexposure going on. Rendering with translucency takes forever! This was still a big step up from my first attempt which looked like shiny plastic :confounded:

If I have time I'd really like to texture her properly and put her in marmoset, but I think I'll focus on posing the sculpture first incase I run out of time...!

WOW this looks awesome. The design is really well done. Love all the different assets she has. I think I might have to agree. The lighting is a bit to much at the moment. Maye you can simplify it a bit more or push the lights further back in the scene....Not sure what you can do if the translucency takes forever to render. I really wonder what kind of pose you'll be doing for her.

I really love her. Her design is so beautiful and she is not oversaturated with unnecessary details. I can't wait to see the color palette she will have. excellent work!

I think your doing great! i think its a good idea to pose her for time constraints and honestly i love your keyshot lightsetup <3

this is by far one of my favorite submissions ^^ im amazed every time you put up a new Wip

Damn I love her! She turned out very pretty! My favorite part is probably the shoulder piece though :3

I deeply prefered the green-ish eyes. Fit better the red skin and color scheme, way more subtle than those ones. But it's just a matter of taste... i must say i love the overall character. You are an amazing sculptor, Blair

It Looks Great!, Can't wait to see your choice of pose Blair.

Thanks very much guys! At the end of the month I'm moving back to the UK from Tokyo, so I really want to try and get her finished.
Here's a rough test pose, let me know if you have any critique.

Awesome Blair!! I did a paintover with some things I might change, I hope it's readable:

  1. The upper body is a little stiff, especially in the side view
  2. I feel like you can give her a bit more strength by rotating up the club and that would also make a nice gap when you look at her from the front side

Bottom half looks great!

@enalya thanks so much for taking the time to do this! I ended up changing the club to rest on her shoulder instead, but I added more curve to her upper body to match your suggestion.
@DragonicSculptor Thank you! The pigtails are just low poly splines with some of the edges chamfered to give them a flatter shape, and then I used transpose master to bend them into a curved shape

Wow, she looks amazing! I love the blend of fighter and cook, a really cool idea. She gives me a very BnS-feel, which isn't a bad thing at all  I'm trying to get better at Zbrush, but it's so overwhelming, especially when I'm already struggling with proportions and anatomy D:

@beliroz Thank you! Aa yeah B&S/Hyung Tae Kim's work was a massive inspiration actually. Yeahh proportion and anatomy is a lifelong struggle I think!

I set up a scene in marmoset today using decimated subtools and vertex colour. It looks a bit plasticy because there's no proper specular/gloss except flat values. Unfortunately there's no way I can get it down to 10meg since its not retopo'd, so I won't be able to do a marmoset viewer scene :frowning: Either way, I'm glad I was able to set this up incase I run out of time.

Next step is to work on the base and make it look pretty, and after that I'll do some renders from Keyshot and marmo and see which turns out better. Hopefully I can make it in time!

Awesome Blair! Even with just vertex color and decimated meshes it really comes together! Can't wait for the final textures

Looks great man! I like it.

In the 3d briefing is said the mview scene can have 20 megs. I hope this helps

wow! those thighs :grinning:

Really awesome !! Love your final posing and lighting. Great work Blair

I love her! she is so beautiful and the little boar is adorable! the color palette is great and the pose feels dynamic. I really like your style and what you did here.
