yeah, the small cylinder below is supposed to be a representation of the human size and it even states it is 180cm but you do have a point. and as for overpainting, that would probally be a lot faster than doodling in 3ds max

for those still reading this, it looks like I need to redraw my participation. Life kicked in my door and I now have enough things to do besides this. Sorry for those that were actually hyped about the finished version but it looks like this is one for the future.
