Backstory:

The colonization of planetary systems has yielded fruitful results, new lands and resources, as well as new monsters which need to be neutralized. The most optimal method for clearing out infestations of native wildlife are freelance mech pilots. Due to the large number of colonies, one military force is not a viable solution. Agencies exist which contract out mech mercenaries for hire. Malory, know as 'Servo Maiden', is one such champion, battling for credits, and making the galactic quadrant a safer place.

This is my entry into the 3D portion of this contest. The character is based on my entry into the 2D portion. I'll be working on them in tandem as I flush out the designs. You can see my 2D entry here: https://forums.cubebrush.co/t/art-war-2d-mecha-malory-splicer

Here's a rough 2D concept, finishing finalizing it currently.

Roughing out the orthographic design of the mech. Back and sides to follow.

Finished the base high poly mech sword, need to add details.

Small update. Still really rough, going to stop work on my 3D entry.

It was always my main focus and one I'm putting 95% of my time into.

I entered the 3D section knowing I probably wouldn't have time but was going to push myself to make my design in 3D regardless so I figured why not enter. Good luck to all the amazing artists on their submission, truly a great opportunity which pushed me to grow and learn more than I thought I could in such a short time frame.
