the gold is coming nicely! with the white .. like it!
i think the stitches and the nice shape of the lips don't go well together. at the moment it looks like the stitches just sit on top of the mouth with out closing it much. maybe they have to be tighter, with some pressure.

Thanks for the feedback Max. Yeah, the stitches didn't work very well and the more I looked at them, the less they made sense, so I scraped them.

the gold is nice and shiny, but almost too perfect, IMO i would add some imperfections, specially to the specular and reflection channels to break it up and add some interest

Very nice.
I just noticed, the flat silhouette of the crown in the side view. You could try to rotate the single pieces a little bit.
Loved the white version, but the black one looks good too!

Yeah tentacles are great.
You could add some supporting loops on the snakes, they look a little low.
