I'm representing the Fantasy Team with my Warrior of the Light!

He's a powerful warrior, with heavy armor and wielding a great hammer. Heavily inspired by the Warcraft universe.

I might go for a Heroes of the Storm art style, or maybe something more realistic with PBR, will be deciding soon on that!

Will keep this updated when I get some references. Can't wait to see how this challenge goes. Thanks Marc for doing this!

EDIT [15/12/16]: Got some references together so I can start working on the sketch for the character. I'm no concept artist but will try my best without losing too much time into it.

I so wanna like your idea but your team fantasy lol. I'd like to see a HOTS style piece but thats all up to you. Good luck have fun.

Haven't had much time this week to work on the challenge. Still managed to squish an hour out to start on my character's design!

I decided to start the design process with the weapon since I find it easier when it comes to designing the armor/general feel of the character.

Back from holidays! Some amazing stuff floating around here already.

Worked a bit just on the base silhouette and the overall face of the character.

I'd just double check your anatomy around the eyes, the eyelids and cheekbones look off to me (guessing the thickness of the wrists is a style choice). Besides that like the mood board! Waiting on the next wips.

@aveon Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the wrists are a style choice, but cheekbones and eyelids were just a product of my poor knowledge on anatomy

Worked a bit more today since I haven't had much time this week, next updates will show more progress than the last ones.

Face starting to look a bit better, c&c very welcomed.

It's been a while since my last update. January has been a busy month.

Still working on the blockout. Not really sure if I will make it to the deadline but I will still try to finish it.

Always important to finish what you start, right?

Anatomy is exaggerated but that's fine, but he does have a mix of a sad expression because of the way the eyebrows upturn at the glabella.
