The elements of fire are wrecking havoc on the earth. Ailsa carries the last hope of the forest. Wielding the power of nature with her enchanted stone sword, she devastates her enemies and heals the broken earth.

Apologies, I started around 2 weeks ago and only getting around now to posting my wips (insert nervous laugh) here are my initial drafts of my character Ailsa! Some of her design will be slightly changed to fit the illustration

For my thumbnail process, I wanted to capture something similar to the essence of a League of Legends splash art. I got super lazy after the first thumbnail hence why it's the only one with values (insert more nervous laughter) Although a lot of splash art tend to be dynamic in motion shots, I wanted to portray my character in a more graceful static pose in which case I picked C2.

Here's my cleaned up sketch with some quick values! I imagined her in the midst of repairing the scorched earth while attacking her enemies at the same time.

Wanted to post a wip of my entry before the final just to show the journey!

And here is my final piece! Had a lot of fun and nervous laughter leading up to this, wasn't sure I would make it in time, constantly worried I would have to pull an all nighter Hope I at least get an honorable mention
