@Gil_Ascher Yeah! Thank you very much! I'll try my best!

@s-stark Thanks a lot! Yeah otter are just the cutest that would've be fun but I'll find a way to reuse the idea for something else in my story :stuck_out_tongue: And yeah definitely going on the snake direction!

@veesketch Hey! Glad to see you back too! Thank you!! I'm equally curious to see how it'll goes

Really nice reference boards!! I think your final is gonna be epic, can't wait to see it! Love the idea of a guardian snakey

Thank you very much! It's gonna be really fun and also challenging never done something like this before!

Rgdraw, always around the corner. Welcome back.
This is an ambitious project you have. A scally otter playing with the intruders can do the trick.
You know otters put rock on their belly, and break seashells on it. Amazing animals.
:fire:

Always here! :stuck_out_tongue:
Thank you very much!!! So ambitious! No idea if I'll succeed taking a huge leap here x)
I agree, otters are such incredible animals!

Really interested to see how you work this guardian out. I'm really digging your ideas here. +1 vote for the guardian otter!

Thank you very much!! Hoping to work on this soon! The otter idea would've been awesome but I'm gonna go with the snake one
(But keeping the otter in my sleeve for later :3 )

After a couple of weeks of artblock, today I'm eager to paint so I guess it's a good sign! So you can expect some new progress for today!! :3

First sketch to get the mood of the illustration it's not super epic yet but I think I got the main idea for what I want!
Gonna expand at the top to give it more space, and show a bit more of the room too, and maybe tilt the whole thing a little
And gonna try to change the angle so we're looking up toward the snake, that would be great I think

I like the composition composition but you might want to change the snake a little, at first glance I thought it was an earth elemental because of the tree on top and its green color and how it blends in with the green grass.

Well this is already really epic ! The the scale is greatly done. Maybe you could use more flow on the top half of the image, right now it look a bit like there is 2 different parts
But well really good progress

Im so glad to see you finally working on it! And already it looks awesome, and really has a great atmosphere of being in front of this creature. You've handled the different grounds well, though some variation in colour and hue of the snake would help bring a lot of colour harmony. Or even if there were clouds in the sky and those shadows were cast onto this mighty snake!

Kept working on it afterward and did some of the corrections I mentionned, now that's it, I reached the point where I like where this is going!

Thank you! Don't worry gonna show some of it's real scales, and not just the moss that grew on it , that's what happen when you sleep too long, stuff thinks they can grow on you like that x)

Thank you so much!!
Yes planning to add more variation on the snake, like first showing some part of it's original scales for example

Looks great! I love your idea of waterfall behind that creature hitting its back.
I think you could push that angle even more, it will help to show that snake is bending a little and looking down.
Keep on good work!

Thank you very much!! I'll keep improving that!

Not much to add as far as feedback goes since everyone said what I would already. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much!!
