Process log: Gesture design
Some very simple animation but you get what he does right~
Gesture 1:
You can tell the blast is super powerful since he even needs to place his tails on the ground to hold his position, the shockwave is just too much
Gesture 2:
Power switching structure, the Egyptian creature possesses three powers:
Gold - penetrating energy beam
Soul - absorb souls from living beings
Rage - Dark fire that burns out anything

Turnaround is usually very important for viewers to understand the character, they can't tell what's the back of it look like by just looking at the front render

Element breakdown
Personally I don't know anybodyelse does this, but I just like to give the viewer a bigger picture of things that make up this character, and I've been doing this with my other designs as well.
For example as you can see the majority of this creature is 'organic', and the pyramid is yellow meaning there's a lot of backstories happening with that (such as this creature's master probably lives in there and during battle he is gonna be on top of the pyramid and give orders etc).
