Here is my initial designs for Chum and T.H.Waters, I did these today on my twitch stream where I plan to stream as much of the competition as possible.

I also picked my fave initial designs and started to do some variations exploring different ideas for the duo.

Let me know what you think!

Sweet start @alexheath87! I am hoping to do the same from where I am at forward. Looking forward to seeing the progress on Chum and T.H. Waters.

Here is an update from today's stream. Took a couple of ideas I liked and fleshed them out a bit more. Think I getting closer to a final design that I can use to make a cool illustration. let me know what one is your favourite!

Damn, that's cool!
And since you asked:
I like the HammerHead more in terms of design (the colors also seem more aquatic to me), but the Great White (I'd assume) does have more of that "wow factor". I think the HH's silhouette is more readable, with the only thing beating it being the sword handle on the GW. Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I like the HH.

Hey man!
Thats pretty cool! (The second I saw your work I thought of quitting. abandon all hope ;D)
But hey, while I am at it, I entered today, and posted my rough sketch too! Could you please give me some advice regarding design, proper presentation (decor of my artwork and sketches, because it looks blank and uninteresting compared to yours), and most importantly proper use of color, cause I always stick to monochrome, and if I dare to try to tap into colors, it turns out tasteless and uninteresting.
I am sorry to bother you, but I will use this opportunity to learn from professionals as much as I can!

Tough choices, I'll just say my 1st reaction to your question, hammer head.

I personally like 2 more. It has easier to read shapes. I think both are awesome though. But definitely 2 cause of the high value contrast and readability.

I love the hammerhead - more opportunity for unique shape design!

22 days later
