The majority of people I asked liked the volcanic design most, so I'm running with that one. Here is my inspiration/reference page, including a mockup sculpt to get the posing angles.And a coloured sketch to plan out my composition and colours:
Great idea. You have alot of work to do.
Keep posting your progress and remember that it's always better to use time in the beginning to finetune composition, linework and perspective. It's much more difficult to change those later.
So I was very unsatisfied with how the first render was going, I can't pinpoint it exactly but in combination with personal reasons I gave up on the project for a little bit. So I decided now to try a different pose and the rendering has gotten much further, so let's hope I finish it in time!
It can be frustrating sometimes and it usually is It just means that you are doing something hard and overcoming those obstacles is what makes you better.
