My reference

This knight is a result of mages' attempts at creating an invincible soldier for king Mordgar's army. Going through such a transfomation was considered to be a big honor for any court knight, and a great risk at the same time. Noble sir Tollen volunteered to become the first of this new kind of soldiers, for his loyalty to the king had no limits.
But mages, in their hubris and arrogance, tapped into elemental powers, which were far beyond their comprehension, and lost control - both over the experiment, and the newly created monster. Sir Tollen, now consumed by primal fire raging in his body and soul, started slaughtering, and didn't stop until even his beloved king was dead.
In their last attempt at stopping the monster, the few remaining mages managed to trap him in a vessel of magic metal and send him to the fartherst corner of the continent.
Legends say, the Knight of Flames still wanders aimlessly trough wilderness, still encased in his constantly melting armor, spreading smoke and fire everywhere he goes.

Hi! here is some sketches of illustration

9 days later

Scary stuffs with shoulder head pads and lava crying :scream:
Also I really liked the sketches for illustration and the first very long sword character.

This character gives me real Dark Souls boss vibes

Thanks. I`m doing other versions of design now. I want to see how does this character will look with other types of weapon.
Initially, I wanted to make the character exactly with the zweihander. It looks cool!

Nice new iterations !
I really like the very first mask : 3

Sometimes the first idea is better than the next three. :joy:
I wanted to make a red-hot metal covering the knight's face.

I finished it!
Good luck guys!

Really beautiful use of colour, composition and value! The clouds and city and everything looks so good. He looks especially amazing against those dark and brooding clouds. Well done for working on it it's been a great progress!

thanks! I enjoyed participating in this contest!

This awesomeeeee i love the heads on the Shoulder Pad! really cool
and that including of the emblem is a realy nice idea

I like how the smoke support to the movement and the stance makes me feel like he is walking is slow motion before slay their enemies , Im curious to know whats written on the notes bellow the belt.

Maybe these notes are instructions for using the sword. :joy:
Honestly, I didn’t think about it. Perhaps it is a pages of magic book
