Your character is SO cool, I would pick them to fight with. Reminds me of Shadow Fiend from Dota2, I think it would be interesting if she were a female, like the mother of death or something. My favorite part are the wings, can't wait to see the final!

The Lynels are scary enough in Breath of the WIld. If one of these was at the top of the mountain then I would take my glider and haul ass outta there.
The problem is it can fly also...

Looks incredible so far! I think you could try to lessen the atmospheric perspective on your character cause the soldier at the bottom left seems more important or more obvious than your main hero now. Maybe darken her wings a bit like you did in the serious painting of the character concept.

I'm really impressed by how many of artists here are able to make everything look so good even wit a few strokes of paint. I would just spend endless hours on little details nobody would notice far away in the background 
The rules do state that your character needs to be shown attacking or defending, would hate to see you not make the finals because of a technicality like that.
