getting into the actual painting now I'll spend some time being indesisive about the colors before I commit to rendering. Also desided I'll incorporate his fire emblem on his right glove.
Hmm good thumbnail! I think you could extend the canvas downwards though to include more of the creatures and himself at the front. It's a bit crowded and needs some space for the composition to breathe
good shout, I'll give that a try. It's getting a bit cluttered
painted some moonlight on him and calling it a day
Finally gotten into the painting stage! I'm currently throwing colors on there and see what sticks It's going ok, I think his wings/flaps are going to be challenging. As @nesokaiyoh sugested I stretched the camvas vertically to give the action a bit more space. Still missing some elements like the flames on the daggers and the background bats.
I thought the head looked too big and the left peck had weird anatomy so I'm adgusting
Nice tweaks ! I would say the shape of the right arm doesn't read well because of the moon light.Your illustration work so well, simple and very effective composition
True it needs fixing. Also his other arm and the upper body need fixing too. Thanks
Awh he's so cute xD
Rougning in the flames and bats. All the ellements are there now and it's time for rendering. Hopefully no more major changes
honestly, I don't usually render much so it's a bit slow for me. Changed the colors in the background a bit and added some mountains
Calling this one done This was my first artwar, it was super fun and looking forward for next year! Good luck to all!
Wow this looks amazing! I love the change in eyes too, gives it an entirely different atmosphere. And for someone who doesn't render much, the render looks awesome!
Thanks I apreciate the comments and the feedback! It definately was a learning proccess, I can't wait to do more of this short of painting
so much energy! great job :3
makes me want to see more of him, congrats on finishing, nice character for sure.
That expresion is so poweful! Love the energy of the draw, nice job!
