Adding more fire to the sword or adding enemies in the foreground? trying to add more excitement!

very cool ! keep it up ! go fire =)

Fire is so hard to do hahaha! Thank you!! I will!!

agreed! but you have done a great job so far =)

Update, trying a lighter background?? Added some red weaves onto her belt too!

Those gold reflections are so nice! The arm holding the sword looks a little off to me somehow, though. I'd suggest playing with the placement of it so it reads better. Rendering looks great so far nonetheless, keep it up

Trying out background colours! thoughts?

Ooh!! Thanks so much! I've been staring at it far too long haha, good to know, I'll experiment with it. Is it the whole arm or the way the hand holds the sword?

I know how that goes haha. I'd say its probably the upper arm that's bothering me the most. Its very unclear what's going on there to me, so that might be it.

Edited the back arm, some armor on the skirt bit, I hope this will be in time!!

That works better! Hope you finish on time!

Decided to mix the dark and blue backgrounds! Not sure about the colour of her hair at the moment, haha. C&C always welcome!!

Your best bit of fire in my opinion is bottom left. The fire on the sword needs a softer brush to blend all those brushstrokes together. Remember also that fire is hottest at the bottom, so changes colour as it moves up. (The sword flame is yellow all the way up at the moment.)
I treat fire a little like fabric that's blowing in the wind.
