Thank you! I put both designs up there just to have options to pick from, one has a traditional hilt and the other one has a sci-fi look to it
I see! Both look great but personally I prefer the more sci - fi one since it matches more with the rest of the designs.

Finally planned out my illustration, here's a thumbnail sketch. C&C's are welcome. I tried to block in a scene where Kaminari engages in combat with other ninja clansmen at a sci-fi city's rooftops
PS: will add that sci-fi into the background later 
looking awesome, i think the point of the pyramid throwing weapon needs to face us a little more to match arm perspective
That's great! Very effective composition! I would suggest to tilt it even a bit more, I think it would enhance the dynamism

What you see now is basically my game plan and of course there will be changes, I did a line drawing over my character and now I'm gonna draw the rest or at least block them in a little bit more solid and I then will post it.
I cleaned up my character and I'm still trying to figure out the background, maybe I should change it completely but the composition would still be the same
I think This is gonna be a better direction for the background because I was trying to show too much if it and it was getting in my way so I decided to play up the smoke more
