I love the way he is "in the battle" on the first, he look really concentrate and confident in himself.
The second is also really interesting, like "hey, gotcha".

Those sketches are both awesome lol I can't decide, both would work but I wouldn't have them right in the center of the page like that, moved to the side maybe to make the composition asymmetrical?

me too XD, yes i think i'm gonna shift the character a little to the left or right in the end.
The bottom one you could move the character to the right and the top one to the left but yes they are both great lol and both with great values and gesture. I'm leaning towards the pose of the top one, but I like the hair and expression of the bottom one. The overall gestural and flowy lines of the magic in the top one works well too imo
Sweet design. Definitely go with the top composition. The swinging of her weapons brings to attention her method of attacking and forms a nice focal center around the character.

@nesokaiyoh Thanks for the input, i'm not sure with current rough color now i think there will be more tweak, but i think i'm pretty happy with current layout for now, i really wanna push splash-art like quality

Finally done! I learn a lot during this process, goin back and forth studying my senpai's work, definitly still have lots of aspect to improve there are some designs aspect i remove and add along the way,i'll add character sheet later . but for now, here is the final result Hope you like it! enjoy and wish the best for all participants!
