The Kitsune is a spiritual entity and there are many different types that represent the various elements. My kitsune warrior is a stern protector who uses the lightning element.
These are my first images over the past couple of weeks when I was trying to figure out what to do and see if I really wanted to enter. The element I initially chose was earth. I wanted to do a dark spirit stealing to souls of weary warriors, but didn’t know if it qualified as an earth element. I know there are a lot of great artist that are going to enter and I felt a bit intimidated, but I decided to put my fears aside and just have fun.
Mood board. This was initially created for my first idea of a dark spirit. A few of the images led me to rethink the whole thing and I decide on a fox with the element of lightning.
I am terrible at composition, so starting out with a pose did not serve me well. After reviewing a few of the other entries, I noticed people developing the character first. I decided that would probably be a good place for me to start as well.
That's a good idea. I like the character poses that you designed. Don't worry, you still have days to develop the project, think that you have already made the best decision: JOIN THE EARTH TEAM!
I appreciate the feedback. I started trying to concept the new character already. Working on it now. (Still a bit iffy on the element though.)

nice sketches =) i like the pose!
Thanks Wrangman. I appreciate the comment. Poses are one of the things I’m working to improve.
Hair styles, hand positions (which are a lot of trouble), & outfits. Still much work to be done. I have a preference, but what do you think? Suggestions?

Final image for the ArtWar IV competition. There’s so much more I would like to do, but this is already late so I’m calling it finished. I enjoyed the process. Hope you like it. Comments & Critiques welcomed. Thanks
This is good, but, as you said, loads more to do. I got ill myself and had to rush it in the end so I also had stuff unfinished or stuff which I'd wanted to improve...
Thanks, next time I’ll be prepared. I didn’t want to post it knowing it wasn’t where I want it to be, but if I hadn’t I probably wouldn’t have finished it anyway.
