I still want to explore her design a bit more if I get the time, but I've skipped ahead a little bit and have been trying to figure out a nice composition. (And struggling a bit honestly.) This first page looks pretty rough but basically I was just trying to find some nice shapes.
Cleaned up 3 of the compositions a little bit, and might do a few more if I can. I like the idea of her dragging an attacker into the water, but I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out a scene where you can still clearly see the front of her.
Anyway, if anyone has any advice I'd be grateful!

But it surely be a hard one to execute. Maybe you could make her catch just the feet of the victim instead of the torso ? This would add more drama as the victim has more opportunities to fight and we could better see your design

Sketched around and found a new composition, pretty similar to my previous ideas but this one shows a lot more of the main character.
Cleaned up the sketch a bit, added some lighting too. I imagine she's pulling a fire elemental or something down into the depths, and it's body is smoking and extinguishing as it is dragged through the water.
Didn't end up with enough free time to finish it this year unfortunately, but very excited for next year!
