Some initial sketch form ideas. Originating with the idea of making my character, Oyo, the leader of a special ops team for the Lightning faction

current I think options 3, 4 and 7 are gonna be interesting to move forward with. 3 being a skeletal type character, very fast and skilled in hand to hand combat. option 4 possessing a powered exo-skeleton and option 7 having a flight pack of some kind, with android elements too their body

working up some really rough ideas for my favourite 3 forms in the first phase. really drawn to the idea of an electric exoskeleton so started with that one! the body is rough and just to give the exoskeleton something to work with.

Namely the exo-skeleton, mechanical legs, and back-pack. Also exploring a system of magnetically locking elements to the armour cus I thought that could be cool.

trying to get an idea of what sort of person Oyo is, if theyre a human at all, i liked the idea of a more lithe, elvish type of character, more built for quick movements and graceful in the air while dropping from their dropships into the battlefield.

I also like the idea of making their skin colour more of a combination of warmer human flesh and a colder flesh colour, maybe something you would see of people who lived their lives in the clouds, as members of the Thunder faction.

Starting to work on the character of Oyo themselves. wanted to put down some key aspects of the design as I was imagining it! settled on the following:

• female = female form I think would lend itself better to being visually interesting with the contrasting forms of the exo-armour she will be wearing
  -Younger rather than an older veteran = More brash and brazen in combat. something which i think would be more the Lightning way!

Had a go working on some for Oyo, I'm thinking the shorter, choppy hairstyles suit the military theme I wanted to go with but not too sure yet!

thinking maybe 4, 6 and even 5 are my favorites so far, especially 6. I think it gets the idea of military and also the lightning feel across.

hi all, got back into working on this after the Christmas break, i don't know if doing gifs is allowed so please tell me if it's not and ill remove it. I was really struggling to express my work done today without showing the stages and thought a quick animation could be cool!

Thanks! I actually have a lot more to consider for the design I think. things I intend to address as I start working up the presentation image.
Unfortunately I'm moving house in like 2 weeks.. so currently panicking I'm not gonna finish in time with all the packing?!
