Did some colorization, but still a way to go.
Also thought that a church might fit into grassland, so there it is
Maybe not the most fitting for a fantasy setup though... any other suggestions?

More shadows, and tried some glowy color on the emblem

Hey !
This is great !
I'm not sure about the way you've painted the earth symbol, I guess the part which is a bit down should be, well, down and not just a cut in the middle.
Also for the church, well I don't know if you really need a building on the back, but maybe you could look at the nordics curchs to have something a bit stronger.

13 days later

Hey! Thanks for your feedback! You are absolutely right about the symbol, I didnt really realize that, so thanks  Its anyway preliminary, approximately transformed to where it should be, just so that I have some visualization of what i wanted to do.

I took a look into nordic church style and they are abolutely more suitable, very nice suggestion. I think I will for now forget about the church, but if I come back to it I think i will go with nordic style

Minor update after holidays break  I am also trying to get rid of lines by now.
I am really not sure about how to paint the firebird. Right now it looks like he may even have a cozy time there... think I will have to get his facial expression right. Any other suggestions?

It's coming along. Push that perspective though! It's flat on against the camera currently and with nothing to give scale its size is lost on us!

That's true for the scale, but I think you'll can be rid of the problem very easily. Your illustration is really coming along and that's really cool.
And I'm glad my comment could have been useful for you

Small update. @nesokaiyoh Thanks for the suggestions! I tried to implement what you said a bit by adding some more environment occlusion. I think there is still way to go to push it more though. Let me know if you think its on the right track
I also added some good old birdies :sunglasses:

Yes it is for me
I love the rainbow this is such a nice touch. Maybe you should consider adding a background instead of just having the sky. Maybe some mountains or hill in the background to have a better feeling of scaling ?

@Oceane_Roh Great suggestion :smile:
Did some more environment, a bit of refinement and tried to make him pulling his arm out of the earth a little bit more lively.
I am currently struggling with the pose of the firebird in that hand...

Ahh sorry I didn't get back to you! Had a couple days break
I love the idea of it grasping the phoenix so easily and without effort at all, really shows the immense power behind the creature. The new additions does help give it more depth yes, the trees and birds work well. Good job so far!

If you had the living biscuits squeezed out of you you'd probably look a bit derpy too lmao Looking great!

I'm not sure if I've already told you how fun I found the face of your phoenix but, Hey look amazing xD
There's a really good story telling with the add of the 2 people on the front,
I'd say you could push the render of the mountains a bit further, they look a bit disconnected from the rest of the background. You could also tweak the vegetation on it's back a bit, you could check alpine landscape.
But really cool project

That's awesome! Poor phoenix though XD

I'd say it's lacking a lot of detail, as it looks a bit unfinished. For what it is though I enjoy the concept and you've done a pretty good job of indicating the scale and mass that this creature represents. The bits of dirt and rocks on the left are a super nice touch as well, as you need some smaller elements to contrast with the bigger ones. I do still feel sorry for the bird lol
