Took me a while to finish this one... I'm not a professional and still learning about digital art, but it's the best that I could do. I know that a concept sheet is not necessary for the competition, but I wanted to do it.
I still want to do a lot more, but I'm already going to start thinking of my final composition for her.
All the support that I received from all of you has been really good for me and kept me going, so thank you so much!

Considering the brief requires your character to either be attacking or defending (and preferably 80% of the design of your character showing) then I'd say 3 and 4 are my personal faves, although 2 is pretty good as well if just needing a little bit of composition work

So, after thinking about some attack and defense positions for her, I decided to go for something like the 2nd thumbnail that I've done, because it was my favourite pose and decided to work on it a little more. This is my idea for the final composition, it's just a really rough lineart, but I will refine it more before colouring. Her sword will be on fire, since it's the power that it has and in the backgorund I may add some villages on fire...

It's been a while since I've posted because I've been working on my final illustration for the contest. I used the lineart posted previously but changed a lot here... It's not ready yet! Still working on the shield and the background, but pretty close to the end... Anyway, just wanted to share my progress...

My entry for the contest, now it's done. Not pro level, but it's the best digital painting I've done so far, I'm really proud of it. I've learned a lot in this challenge and it has been a pleasure to take a part in it. Thanks for all the support!
