as an example that looks more or less transparent as the body of an axolot
There is a lot of soul in your drawings. I'd say 1, with more eyes like 2, 3. 
I don't really have an idea for your belt (but maybe no idea could be the best idea ? have you tried just without putting anything ?) Or you could try a coral armor instead of just having them ramping on him ?
By the way I loved the design more with a tail I guess, he look like a bit tadpole
