wow, these sketches are beautiful.. and as a member of the fire army, I fear you :frowning:

Thank you, don't be afraid, usually, I don't get to the end

cool idea with skulls, good luck!

This concept is great! I also like your sketching flow.

@Gopher Ohhh Cool idea mate! Hey, maybe she is herself a water wraith? Can she use skulls of mythological creatures to make their copies? Like werewolves or minotaurs?
Could you give some advice for my concept on how to approach composition and staging for final illustration? I would be most grateful! :]

Yes, probably she is also a water wraith. If these creatures exist in her universe, then why not. I didn't dig too deep. As you sketch the illustration, I will try to give advice, although I am a bad adviser.

@Gopher
Thank you! As we advise others, we improve ourselves along the way! So don't be afraid of aiding me, I always appreciate all the help I can get! :]

I work on the color scheme and at the same time try to detail the image

@Gopher I adore how people like you can make few colored brush strokes and create almost complete background, I feel so envious! And I know that you're just testing waters with the colors (wink, wink xD), before going ham on it, but in this picture they all look very wraithy/ghostly and less wattery, I would advise to add some moisture to give proper vibe to it! Keep up the good work!
I am so sorry to ghost out on this challange for the week, cause its time for exams, and Im barely prepared!

I decided to redo the image. I wanted to make the composition more dynamic.

nice color palette, spooky

Interesting !
Can't wait to see what you'll update next.

I really like both versions. 1 is more ghost style than water , this color pallete suggets that( and also lack of water splashes). Composition remind me more like a classical paintings. The dress design is cool, it's nice that the breasts are not exposed. The fact that there are few diffrent animals suggests that every animal can be created.
2 is more like riot style maybe. Color tone is more water style. I hope there will be more animals. The transition beetwen character body and dress cuts too much. In version 1 is more natural.
Very cool works! Both versions are great.

DUDE! This is AMAZING!
To me it looks like you did minimal work on the piece, yet it already looks so promising and nearly professional! I think its focus on her face/mask that gives the piece focus!
Also, I would try to make this composition even more dynamic, and enhance the "attack" idea, simply rotate canvas a little bit to the right, so it would seem that she has a higher ground and is pointing a littlle bit bellow herself to the enemy, as her water beasts descend upon them like a giant tide/tsunami or something!
Super amazing dude, I will really need your help when i will reach the point of illustration!

Second one is definitely more dramatic...but I also like the first.

10 days later

Thank you all for your support and advice  I'm now marking time. I don’t know how to continue working, I want to maintain a gloomy atmosphere and want to make bright accents, but I don’t like everything that I get. Again, I want to start all over again. :triumph:

I really love the first one, she is so emotioal and good looking, it tells a story to me ;3 Hope you will chose the first composition

I decided to start over  It will never end.

Nice new start !
Hope you have time to finish it.

And I totally understand the "I can't make any progress on this specific art" T-T (we probably do all haha)

Keep going this is looking great! I really like all your previous versions of this as well, has a very renaissance feel to it, good luck!

Thank you! I will try to finish in time

Made the picture more saturated and I think to add algae

Good work, algae and tentacles really helps set the place under the sea , maybe a couple of bubbles would give the final touch.

Thank you! I agree with you, I want to add bubbles a little later

Wow, awesome work!
