Today I wanted to design Xul'Drahim's powers to find how he could summon hydromancers' souls.
I found a design I like for the souls, and I have enough material to start sketching compositions for the illustration

Every step make your creature even more epic it's amazing, I love your colours choice and I can't wait to see your compositions !
By the way, if I'd have to choose one of the summoning process it would definitely be the bottom one and perhaps use the bright tentacle to control the hydromancers ?

Thanks ! I think I'll go with your idea about the hydromancers summoning
I didn't do too much the last days, I'm a bit afraid of messing up the illustration. I really want to find a composition that shows the whole design of the monster, I'll work on this today ^^

No worries, there's nothing bad in taking breaks, you have plenty of time left so take it ! Don't be afraid, if you mess something up you can always go back or even start over, but I'm sure you'll come up with something badass

The subtle intricacies are a bit hard to make out in those thumbs, but the general gesture and composition all look really interesting

Ahah yeah ! I like to go from chaos to order when I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Here is an updated version :

Wouw nice composition ! I really don't want to be this guy ahah, there's so much energy in it.
Will you add the hydromancer ?

I'm trying to add them, but everything I tried weakened the composition
They add many points of interest and kinda drive the eye away from the monster

Maybe reduce the number of hydromancers? Or keep them in bunches so they're not scattered across the composition too much?

I like it alot =) keep it up =)

Yooo this design is dope! Looking forward to seeing where this goes

Here is an update ! I spent some hours trying to figure out how to set my light.
I'm analyzing as many LoL splash arts as I can to find and understand their secrets

Looking good! LoL splah art are a big inspiration for me as well, keep up the good work

This is looking amazing, it almost does feel wet y'know?
