Hey Ks, well not really sure about how I would tackle animation on a design like that... I think it would be cool to create different normal maps for the movements so that the stones could crack up when it moves or soemthing like that

Ok I have changed the approach to the stone feel of it, so I'm trying different stuff here to see what could work, please let me know what you guys think about it. There is still a lot to do to make it all come together but this is the idea of what direction it could be going in

I think the best for the high-range-movement places the best is to split the big rocks in some more pieces. On the back you have too much large rocks, so you could break them in 2-3 pieces working as vertebrae so you won't have problems on animating when bending to the front, or even to the sides.

Edgar I get what you mean, but I´m really liking the idea of having this big large rocks on the back like a mountain like and then goes to less rocks as we turn towards the front body, Ilike the way the sillouette is broken, but I will work a bit more on the positioning of them so that they could like slide when he moves,

By the way, it might seem now like he is going to throw the rock, but no! he is using it as a shield, protecting some creatures that are going to be on the oposite side of the rock. Still needs a lot of work, but it is a start

ya tio, yo en mi cabeza lo veia claro pero entra mi hijo mayor y dice buah que guapo va a tirar la roca, y yo me cagüen!! jajaja pero si yo creo que como escuda va a quedar guay, tendra que quedar claro lo que esta pasando en la imagen final
