Here's my first pitch for BASTILLE, the Vigilent stronghold (definitive name ? idk)
Next step will be assembling a reference board before sketching some stuff

First board of broad references, will probably have to make other ones for prop design such as the shield that's going to be a key element. (I'm thinking about calling it 'Door of vindication' atm, sounds pretty badass.
Still considering how much I want church involved in the design, I don't think I want something too religion driven, even though that's obviously an important part of France's history.

Next step is probably some rough silhouette sketches

First round of sketches, trying to establish some kind of shape for the top part of the body.
Really digging the arches on the shoulderpads so far, along with the bells inside.
And I also like the idea of having some kind of church stained glass rosace on his chest.
Still unsure of the scaling, but I don't want to go too big.

will have to design some more interesting legs next.
