Yeah it's really shitty, check out the law on contest and sweepstakes Quebec (and the other locations) has and you'll understand why everybody excludes the province.

If it was only Quebec it might be doable for significantly bigger contests where the extreme time and energy needed to be compliant could be justified, but there are other locations mentioned above who have similarly (yet different) strict laws which makes it impossible to accommodate it all.

It 100% makes sense to be angry but you should be especially angry at the province and the turds who passed these laws

There are always ways around it if you have friends or family outside of the province who could receive the prizes for you...

@Mary_Alfa @shalva @klyd3 @lovepit It's super unfortunate some countries/states are excluded but it has to do with strict local laws and restrictions for contests/shipping.

i don't think i ever heard of any issue for Mauritius though
But then again i never heard of any Mauritian joining any international web contest haha

This might not seem like the smartest question, but I'm from Bulgaria and 17, so should I get a parent to write that "statement" in Bulgarian or should I write them one in English and just have them sign it? I have never come across something like this before...

I'm trying to look for some friends or family outside of Québec but my nearest family members are in Denmark XD. Oh well, a good piece for my portfolio is a great reward itself. Thanks Marc, I know you understand the struggles of the artists of Québec and elsewhere.

Government here fu**ing sucks that's why. It is probably because of the TAX policies, that can go up to 70% of the product price.

Fortunately enough, my stepfather is french and he can enter for me.

Damn shame, and it's all on our state of clowns.

So I'm 16 and lives in the Philippines, can my relative(over 18 yrs old) from Alberta, Canada enter for me with no problem or do I still have to submit a written statement from my parents (because I'm still under the legal age)?

So My country is not on the list (Mongolia). But i have a friend in the us and japan. They can receive my prizes for me. That mean's im possible to participate right?

@nevs36 you can post yourself and from your account - but in case you win, he has to state that he was the one who entered and will receive the prices (for you).
