Will be developing a character based on plants and animals found around the sea. I will post all my development sketches and concepts hoping to get as much feedback as possible to improve my design. Anyways good luck everyone! .
I like design 1 the most, clean simple, really organized flow of the details on the armor As for the hair 1,2,3,5 are the ones I find interesting, just my opinion! Whats her abilities though? btw awesome concept!
Thanks for the feedback. Not sure what her abilities will be for now, but definitely related water and deep sea themes. Possibly being able to call sea creatures to aid in battle.
Oooh, now I'm wondering if she can fight in land too, but still thats a cool power
More iteration of the design and weapon variants.
I really like the second spear
Please read about the name format in the rules of the Art War.
Basic story:Azula was once the queen of Lavek, the home of her people deep below the sea. After invaders had started a war with her people she couldn't do anything to stop them. So she bound her soul to the demon lord of Tryiak, and was given the infested spear that itself is sentient. Now she wages war against those that wronged her and her people.
More color variations, lemme know what you guys like.
Hey PandaBrush, I think your core concept to use sea plants and animals as your design language is fantastic. The initial sheet of sketches is a good start; the octopus tentacles and fish gills are clear design motifs of underwater life. Something was lost along the way though, the most recent design reads more like a traditional fantasy elf character and less like a sea dweller.
Yea thanks for the feedback, I probably have to go back to my original concept phase as felt the same way by the time I finished my latest version.
Cool, glad that you see it too!
Amazing colors! I love the middle the most because I think green and pink compliment each other! I love the design idea too, like what @nick_dahlquist1 said, it's a good concept idea to use nature as a design factor My only concern though is the back dress(?) is it metal? or cloth? if its cloth, add a lil bit of curves there, it looks so straight, it hides the curve of that woman If its metal then, find a way to still show that woman curve there
Your shapes are really original ! I especially like the first colored version. The golden armor gives her a very royal personnality, according to your story.
