Here is the color concept. Nymph is the child of the nature, so I think there will be main summer colors-green, blue, brown and black.

I was so excited with this challenge, that didn't give the description and started to work) Why nymph? I live by the river and spend a lot of time outdoors, I like watching nature. I thought about this character.The pose and look didn't come suddenly, I have imagined her. Maybe nymph is not enough epic, but I hope to do the good work and to meet new interesting people. Thank you for this opportunity.I have many interesting ideas, but if I have already posted sketches of this character, I shall try my best with it.
Well I can do the stylish line and tone sketches, but I think I don't need them here. I need in the final a color image and all the details will appear when the main things will be on the right place. Texturing takes a lot of time and I like to paint fast. That's why I need to find all the basic things- composition, tone, drawing shape and color. When I have all this, I don't need to waste time on searchig what to do and paint fast. I have played with colors and made a color palett sketch. Now I can begin to paint.
The nymph is bloodless, so I think to do her as white as possible in this environment.

I have made more detailed drawing of the background and started painting of the character. There is a lot of time left, so I think the next thing I shall do will be the background.

I don't like to talk a lot about my project before I do something. Now I am ready to explain some things. In the classical painting nymphs are usually almost naked. But nudity is not allowed, so I decided to give her clothes and the surrounding.
Nymph is the soul of the tree. In winter she sleeps inside the tree. It's a part of the character. That's why I decided to add trees to the composition. Inside the tree trunk is water. And I have made her appearance close to the water and greenary in blue and green colors.
There many ways to bring depth in the texture. I have made the first painting of the background and then blurred it.

I am working with the background now. Illustration is the most diffcult part of this work for me, so I decided to do as much as I can now, because I don't know shall I have the time for this in February or not. While I am working with the background I am thinking about the character, it's not the final design. Here is the little update with the tree detail.

I am still working with the background of the illustration, but the character is more important. So I decided to think about the dress design. Silk is the natural material and it can be. But for the breast part of the dress I think to do something like this.
