Although I´m a bit late I'm gonna take a shot at this, for the sake of participating.

Backstory
There was this robot made originally for war. It wasn't sapient at first, only guided by basic AI to accomplish the government's missions, just another soldier, another pawn of war.
Alternatively the first consciousness project came to life, a female looking robot made for public interests; full of naivety and curiosity, she was built to learn about life from scratch, like a baby. Of course these two robots were created for completely opposite worlds, the blood-soaked, destructive side of humanity; and the aspiring, beholding of beauty side. Never meant, nor let to meet each other....
Up until that day came, the day she slipped from the humans grasp. Led by her own curiosity, as to why couldn't "those" robots be like her, she found one of those she was never meant to know about; then she kind-heartedly shared her program. A special being was born, one with the memories and knowledge of the darkest side of humanity, and the sentience to aspire for self-development and the worth of living life like any other natural being.
The humans noticed their "problematic" nature, and proceeded to dispose of the pair...but failed to completely do so with him.
Now with a grudge for humanity and newly replaced body-parts, he strives to develop himself and a proper race like him away from humans; although humans are not a plague you can just peacefully avoid.

This is the first iteration I came up with, although he is a character in constant improvement, he portrays his rough and cruel human-manufactured side, while developing another side of his own design, until he can completely transcend humanity with a race of his own.

Now with all that backstory aside , I have another concept and more ideas I'd love to do, like a mercenary with scifi chakrams and body augments:

So I've opted for the robot dude and made the full design of the generic robot soldiers. I decided a simpler, less advanced body was needed, to make him more generic, relatively weaker and to better emphasize the "transcending" side of him.

I'll be uploading the full transcending body concept and the midway concept soon.

Here's the next version, with a side by side comparison to a fellow generic soldier.
Expanded the transcending side to the abdomen to make it more prominent. It's supposed to be a fleshier material and segmented pieces as if it were musculature, with glowing gaps. The hand and the face glow through the material, meaning it can heat its arm to very high temperatures for using it as a weapon.

Thank you! I was thinking about that just now, some sort of remnant, but I already have an idea in place for the back, so maybe I'll put something on the side or over the shoulder.

Here's a render update before starting color testing, I added a cloth over the shoulder, left some wires hanging and removed the arm cover.

There's also a WIP on the concept sheet views.

So here are some color variations.

However as I said, the arm is incandescent, so it might as well by only that one orange color. Green would be cool given it's ultra high temperature but if the human eye can't see beyond yellow/orange, then there's no point to it.
Although the other colors look cool.
