I'm going to go the Sci-fi route and bring back Billy the Kid western style to the futuristic era. I'm looking forward to coming up with my own interpretation of what a robotic/humanoid would look like set from the west.

I'll be able to fully start this next week as I have an assignment due this week.

Best of luck to everyone. See you on the battlefield!

So here are some silhouettes which even though I'm not great at (Hence why I'm not doing the 2D challenge :stuck_out_tongue: ) really help me come up with ideas I didn't even think of before. This way I can't get too carried away sculpting and modeling. I'm now going to pick my top 3-5 silhouettes and then expand and develop the ideas from those. Then from them I'll pick my favorite and break it down into different versions of the same character. It may seem like a lot of work before even modeling or sculpting but I know if I put the work in now I'll make less mistakes in the future and won't second guess myself because I'll know exactly what I want.

EDIT: I'm probably going to do a lot more silhouettes.

Got a bit sick of drawing so moved onto the hat. Came up with a sculpt and repo'd it in Topogun. The reason The topology isn't perfect is because I know I'll change it again in Zbrush and have to fix it a bit more so I don't have to be perfect just yet.

why don't u use zremesher inside zbrush ? it's fast and if u change it anyway, automatic topo will save u some time.

Ha yeah very true maxloegler. I just did it there for something else and I have no idea why I didn't use it for the hat. I guess I'm more tired than I thought ha.

always a good reason to drink a coffee

I might make a counter for how many coffees I've had from this project ha.

I was sculpting some ideas and this one I particularly like. As you can see from the picture I'm going along the lines of having a human face but the rest of the body being mechanical. The clothing will be mostly human as well, showing that the human side still exists in this character.
