Hi everyone, another one who join this challenge, hope you like my take on it.

Team Fantasy

Character: Alm the astromancer

Alm is an entity who can control the eter of the cosmos. She went blind in exchange of the skill to create magic through the astral energy. However she can see everything through the eter that surround the cosmos.

Alm has the appearance of a fairy, and her size is just like a human being, or this one is what she prefer to look like.

This is a little bit of the lore i created for this character. I wanted to make her with an organic shape and items. I will explore some differents variations with her clothes or armors. She has to look like a witch, or similar, this is not a rule though. I also want her to look darky and i want to inspire myself with the nature of the ocean and the life that is under it, because i dont want to use constelation and stars on her, and i think the ocean elements could be a good visual element no this matter.

So here are some explorations with thumbs and quick concepts. Im not sure if i want to go with the more alien look or the more fairy look, i like both.

I was thinking that would be a cool idea if she uses those light like stars, maybe she can "draw" constelations with them and summon powers that way.

Also, remembering she is blind im playing with the idea of those orbs that act like her eyes and, as the same time, like a "witch" weapon, to create magic through them.

I didnt like the idea of her having a staff or wand, so i didnt play with that idea too much.

I will design some cool wings in the future too.

So here it is the final design. I added a mask that cover her eyes, i thought it would be cool if the mask is made from some kind of creature shell.

I also decided to create the orbs of her hands like if they are made of some kind of magic that looks similar to the nebulas we have in the space.

In the final illustration i will show her casting some magic out of the orbs.
