This was two days ago work. I decided to enhance the lighting and for the colors to be more graphic along with the lighting. Just more drama and mood and really refining what I'm after in who I visualized the character to be. Stoked. It's really coming together. Can't wait to show what I've done today. Again, input is greatly appreciated if anyone has anything to say. Thank you in advance.

This is lovely so far.
I like the movement/colours of the illustration. The design looks like its well balanced. Looking forward to your progress.

Sick progression!

Wow! Nice one Jmob! Great composition, and awesome emphasis where needed!

@s-stark Thanks so much. I really appreciate the encouragement!

@jfan wooo thanks man! It's been fun.

@volaix Thanks yo! I'm so pumped to hear that!

I'm super excited to execute well on this. Here's some changes that took forever.. some changes are really subtle but are helping me problem solve some things. Any input would be great! !!! gogogogo guys!

Hey guys, I decided not to go super saturated and cut the background out. ...but I need your guys' input! I can't figure out which one works better.. gah. Let me know and help me out!! haha  Any kind of advice would be great and very, very appreciated.

gogogogogo

I think I like this one more so I sharpened it up and blurred it in areas to enhance the focus.

Hey man, just poppin' in to say that I like the pose you've got so far! The foreshortening you got there is very extreme, but very well executed.

That said, be mindful of your anatomy. Her right arm is coming out of an odd spot on her shoulder. I think moving it closer to where her armpit would be by the bottom part of her pauldron it should fix it.

Keep going dude! I'm looking forward to seeing where you take your design.

Hey! Thanks again for the extra eye and tip. I'm stoked to see what you get for your final! Stoked.

Here's some fixes and pushing it in a direction that is more unified than my old design. I'm trying to push the graphic and functional design and continue the classy and bold aesthetic i'm going for. I'm looking forward to pushing the graphic and sculptural feeling and pushing those forms and texture. I'll start referencing things now.

COLORS and spell effects

going through some slight iterations on the theme.. I know I want the character to be cosmic.. just the dynamics of that are what I'm trying to figure out. I think I like the character as a kind of vampiric character who steals life to gain life. I also want to explore the different phases of light and heat and the different states that very hot things go through.. (Magma> gas> Light. Idk. This idea is fun to play with. I have more.. many more.. haha oh god.

This is a wip.

It looks very dynamic! Cool! :muscle:

Love the boldness you're going for, but still achieving solid, 3d forms. Stunning!

Nice! I'd try to completely paint over what you have to explore different avenues for character exploration/story-telling! Seems like you're trying to fight for the hard work you've already put into it, making you sort of paralyzed to potential ideas. Either way, keep it up! Cheers.

Been really fighting with the proportions.. Honestly I think I like the rounder, curvier type woman. It communicates more spacey/planet/spherical vibes. Here's one where its pretty much the generic proportions.. Not a big fan as it destroys the space theme and therefore less immersion.

Open to feedback. <3

I am so close to just starting over. >.< It feels like I'm just spinning my wheels on this one.

So, after getting a break to go for a walk I've refreshed and figured out what direction I need to go to make a better, more balanced image. I executed those things in these thumbnails and I'm going to push the rainbow one.
