Entry: Alexander, Hero of Men

Alexander was my first original character, circa 2003. His personality has grown up with me as an artist. I'm going to finally give him the proper design he deserves!

Alexander, Hero of Men

At first, Alexander is a reluctant protector of the downtrodden. He is constantly compelled to go to battle by an unseen force. Without a war to fight, however, he becomes a vigilante and fights those who deserve punishment but who don't have to answer to the law.

He later discovers his birthright as a avatar of the deity Fate. The deity regarded humans to be a weak mortal race that was easily corrupted, so it bestowed upon man a champion who would either save them or destroy them.

Ultimately, because of his group of companions, Alexander chooses to accept the responsibility of protecting life from darkness. Some say that he has transcended into a demigod, but Alex much prefers the title "Hero of Men."

Part of my goal is keeping Alexander relatable while still highlighting how badass he is. This means that his body shape itself won't be over-the-top, though silhouette will be extra important with his clothing and abilities.

Would be interesting to see what you can do with number 3. He doesnt have that super hero upper body physique, makes him more relatable. Looking forward to the progress.

More progress! I had a ton of fun making these and it's gonna be tough narrowing it down.

While originally from treacherous northern mountains, Alexander's story leads him across continents and oceans in the pursuit of his destiny. He has the mostly unassuming clothing of a traveler, with a few adaptions for personal taste.

Both might and magic are a part of Alex's skills. Not always "something special," the man was originally just a swordsman, self taught and unrefined. Magic came to him naturally -and erratically- too. Time, training, and friends helped shape him into the warrior he is now.

His divine heritage makes his magical aura increase in battle. It becomes so strong that even mere men can see it in the shape of wings or a halo. Some swear that they have seen him actually fly.

These look awesome! If I had to pick a favourite, I would choose no. 7. (That weapon looks very interesting and cool). No. 11 and 12 really stand out for me as well.
