Hey all. I've recently been really in to valkyries so I decided to create a champion of light who's a valkyrie. Here's the first couple sketches of Ariana.

Lovely work so far. Nice rendering and pretty face. The wings feel like we're seeing them from front view as opposed to being at the angle of her back. You might consider moving the screen left one more to the right to help match that angle. Are the smaller wings coming out of the back of her head?
Anyhow, nice progress so far, good luck and have fun!

Hey all. Been busy with a couple other projects, but got 'em done and now I'm back to working on this.

@mdashow Thanks for the compliments. I see what you mean about the wings, but I more wanted to just show the wings splayed out. After looking at it for a bit, though, I don't really see either wing outside of a natural range of motion. And yes, the smallere wings are attached to her head.

I'm leaning toward D, E, and F. Most particularly F. What do you all think?

I refined D, E, and F a bit and now I'm leaning toward D. Pretty sure it's the one I'm going to take forward.

D is a good composition. (Although the leg stance in E is very strong too... but more static.) You might want to consider flipping it horizontal so that she's moving left-to-right, which will read more as forward motion, at least to us Westerners who tend to parse things from left to right. Also, take care not to crop too tightly: The rules say you should show at least 80% of your figure. Good luck!
