Hello,

Joining this competition as its looks great fun!
I am going to fight for the Light.
I wanted to do a beast/God/Guardian type champion. I have opted for a sort of Forest diety, something you might see in a green MTG deck.

So far I have a rough design sheet and a thumbnail for the Illustration, I am going to work them both up together!

Nice creature design so far. Love the colors! And nice composition sketch too.
With his fearsome look and fangs and head covered in shadow and all, I would have pegged him as the dark side. What did you have in mind to convey that this guy is on the light side?

Thanks! the idea is that he is like the defender of the jungle, making him a good guy in that sense. Almost like the way Godzilla ends up being an anti hero is the last movie, the enemy of my enemy is my friend kinda vibe.
