I was searching through the forums specifically to see whether you had finished this or not. I'm sorry to see it was the latter, especially after you've put all that work into it so far. It's a lovely piece, hope you'll find the time to work on it even beyond the ArtWar. Hopefully next year the schedule will work out better for you.

I could finish this work on time, but it would be in a different capacity, not the way I wanted and saw. Also I have my own schedule of art for this year, and I was forced to follow it and leave the character. I'm also sorry that I went so far, so close to final stage of work, most interesting and exiting stage actually.

The probability of this is extremely high. I need to make some changes to the schedule to do this. It is also possible that I will remake the work from scratch with fresh view.

Yes. Now I know more about how the forum works and when ArtWar is going on usually. Next time I'll be in better form. Thank you!

By the way, the next contest "Worlds 2" will be sooner than ArtWar3, I guess.

Yes it will be probably Worlds 2 before Artwar 3...maybe in summer or September or something like that.
(That's just a guess).

Otherwise very interesting work you have here !
I have missed so much things in this Artwar 2...so sad...

Anyways good luck for you to finish this one day (or begin it again from scratch !).

Well, that's always nice to take a look on other works for sure ^^
And also learn new things and techniques...Cubebrush is the very first site where contestants are feeling like friends to me...it's very hard to describe it.

But I really could understand your sadness too...my very first Artwar was really a mess (and I never finished it, shame on me !)
For Artwar 2 I'm not very proud of it but at least I finished it (just) in time.

I didn't tried Worlds 1 contest...but maybe I give it a try for the second contest.

I tend to enjoy creating character-driven art much more than environment art so I'm not sure I'd participate in Worlds 2... but we'll have to see what my schedule looks like when it's announced. Either way, see you around, and good luck with your other work!

It was coming along really nicely! Pity that you didn't have enough time resources to bring it to the finished state. Or at least as close to finished state as possible. I heard once "no one has ever finished art" and I think this is very true. Despite that fact maybe you will "finish" it now, after the Challenge. Your image definitely deserves extra love.

Maybe we will meet again at another Challenge. I wasn't here at first Art War but I took a part in Worlds Challenge and it was great experience. A little bit different than Art War 2 because there was much less participants so we could give and receive more attention to each other. It's a little bit hard to stay up to date when there is so much going on. On the other hand in Art War there is so many great examples of possible approaches to the same topic - definitely very inspiring and motivating.

I am a traditional artist with no online portfolio. Common portraits, landscapes and so on (just because I can draw/paint). Nothing that I really want to do (fantasy illustrations, for example). But it's all in the past. Now I have an opportunity to make a completely new digital portfolio with those kind of art, that I want to do. I'm working on it. So the posts and links will be soon this year.
