It's going to be almost 2 years since I finished the art design career for videogames, I've spent a very hard year trying to progress and get ahead, working many hours to help my family and myself to become a correct person and productive. After all that time, I think I've finally found the strength I needed to sit down in front of my old design team and start creating something new. What better time than in the second edition of ArtWar?
Well, let's start, the first thing I want you to know is that English is not my first language, I do not know how to speak very well, I'm still practicing, but I'm sure I'll manage to translate this and make you understand it.
Since I saw a week ago the announcement that ArtWar 2 had already started, immediately I was invaded by a series of emotions that I had not felt for a long time, my head began to work, to create and design in a low voice a lot of possibilities, now I see it clearly and I am determined, what I am going to start doing from today 20/12/2017 is going to be a warrior of the ancient Mayan, Inca or Aztec empires, I have not yet I have it very clear, I have to watch some documentaries and films like Apocalypto to learn a little more about these cultures, and design a warrior according to one of them.
in the next few hours I will hang some reference images that I have been observing, and also some quick thumbs to start the process of character creation, however, I have to inform you that in any case I already have quite clear the concept that I want to continue, typical warrior of very sculpted physicist, he may be bigger than usual (I like the characters with recognizable silhouettes and who keep a realistic cartoon style) with pendants, shoulder pads, helmet, plumage and tribal tattoos around her body.
It's a real pleasure to do this kind of thing again, it's not easy to get ahead as an artist of characters and environments in Spain, so I'll seek refuge in this type of contest, so I can continue to grow and feel that I'm doing what I like it from time to time.
