Nice work on these. I'm like the 1st and the 2nd painting.
Scale wise, the second does a better job at conveying how big the environment might be in my opinion.
I think this is because its only next to some mountains while in the first sketch, we can see these huge trees that also have huge branches.
I think adding a simple human character would help in these pieces.
Look forward to seeing more updates.

Aye thanks! Think you're right the context cues for scale are pretty loose. Dialing that in will be my goal for the next pass. The lil traveler dude with a walking stick may wander into frame haha. I've been sitting under a lot of trees taking ref photos in an effort to get a handle on that 'under a canopy of foliage' feeling.

Wanted to share a commission I just wrapped up! Super fun spaceship modeled & rendered in ZBrush with some touchups in Photoshop.

Robo animal sketches

Experimenting with the 3D asset pipeline. My goal was to get a thing into UE5 and get a render out of it. So I sculpted a lil goblin bust, did retopo and uvs in ZBrush. Threw it into Painter then Blender for materials. Got a pretty good handle on material nodes in Blender and UE5. Made a bunch of mistakes but overall things went pretty smooth.

I like those new designs, makes me want to try something similar too. Especially the nice skin colors.
