This Topic will collect all the work that's going toward my personal project.

Title: Tuk Tuk Wars (name not finalized)
Brief: Worldbuilding and designs tailored more towards a video game if this was to become a product.
Theme: Fantasy Tuk Tuk Racing, heavily influenced by the 1940s-60s styles.
Influences: Redline, Wacky Races, The Great Race, Crash Team Racing.

Set on an island with a bloody history a new age of society has set upon a more civilized approach to politics. A ceremonial bloody sport is hosted on the peaceful island where the founding factions settle their laws and disputes. Entering teams are made of a driver, gunner, and their mascot who drive their custom Tuk Tuks to battle through a set of grueling races.

History: The mainland continents have fought over the island for its resources and tactical position for decades. Most who live on the island now were born there and have no memory of landing ashore as its always been their home. The islanders decided to cut ties with the mainlands and rule the island themselves creating an unstable peace among the main factions formed on the island. Struggling for leadership on the island the factions decided to settle their conundrum with a race, all consenting to no rules except the must use the island's most available vehicle, the TUK TUK. A ceremonial process was born and the island continues this practice to this day.

Factions
Builders Brotherhood - A union of the strong, reliable, and artisans in their own right. With a love for the forest and wood, it provides for their creations to thrive.

Farmers Flock - The agricultural group hosting all the crops and livestock for the island. Known, even across the seas, for their quality wine, festivities, and music... after the day's work is done of course.

Hagglers Hold - A guild of merchants, rich in trade and wealth, are known for extravagance and beauty. They also control the largest port of the island and are heart fishermen.

The Tangled Twine - Those who live with the old ways, simple and quietly surviving in the moutains. Many would question why they would join in the battle to rule, but faith can be a dominating force.

The Wrench Wing - The intellects who unlock the mind's inner eye. Geniuses of design, science, and engineering. They appear to enjoy the marvel of their machines more than they care about ruling the lands.

Lore Stories: Mud Skippers - A gang of young rag tags is known for making a ruckus down by the farming rivers. Noisy and rebellious they spend all their time playing at racing across the muddy plains. Boarding over the waves of mud, pulled by the machines their fathers bought to plow the fields. When the fuel runs dry they lash up the horse to drag them down the watery slopes pulling off jumps and tricks as they go. Glorifying their deities of the tuk-tuk races, hoping one day they will have a chance for glory themselves.

Sounds cool so far! I look forward to seeing the final works!

I have (after a large break) created some medals/badges each representing a faction from the world. These were modeled in Nomad on the iPad and rendered in Blender.

These badges look really nice! Grewat work! I really like that metal texture!

I've not posted in some time but I've been working on a lot of the character designs, vehicle designs, environments with some poster designs, and some other bits and bobs. I've got a large chunk of the design work done for this project so will be focusing on getting some more developed work over the coming months. I took some time away from the course to work on a 3d art challenge called Endless Engines. I linked that challenge with my personal project and created an initial basic battle tuk-tuk. This can be an initial tuk-tuk within this project's world if it was to be a game for example the player's starter vehicle. Here are some screen shots of the art challenge.

Here is a small gif of the final animation, I'll look into a way to actually post the video at some other time. All the 3d work was done in Blender, all assets were created from scratch. Materials are all procedural.

woah these look sooo cool and i love the pins!

Thanks, I'm on term 7/8/9 as the personal project replaces the assignments at that point. Slow progress as I'm doing this part-time, alongside working a full-time job as a localisation artist.
