Candle Pixie WIP: critiques welcome

This is a sketch turned illustration of a waxen pixie figure resting atop a melted candle. I'll be sharing the progress shots as it evolves, and critiques are always welcome!

Aaaaand, this is the rough outline for where it's headed:

Essentially, the plan is to add an artsy gilded pattern in the background, as well as the luster of some dark grapes and fine cheese in the foreground for scale. These are just rough placeholders at present.

Here's a slightly cleaned up version illustrating the plans for the background. I want the lines to a be a bit thicker so I can erase out some scratches/ wear and tear into the gold. But, this gets the point across much better than the previous example.

Here it is after another 3 hours of streaming. Worked on the background design for an hour, then decided I hated it and reverted back to this one, haha.

Aside from some minor cleanup and tweaking this is pretty much the end result. Took about ten hours.
