So i forgot to post some of the studies I did for the past couple of days since I started term 2. I think I am doing pretty good so far and definitely learned a lot about face construction. I still have trouble drawing the face parts a bit, but I will get better as I draw more of them. Also these are not all the studies, I am just too lazy to take pics of my sketchbook, but I filled 3 or 4 pages of head practices and figure drawing

Hey, today i practiced doing some ears and quick poses. I also did a full artwork and it turned out looking pretty good. It was so easy to make the face after all these studies and before this, I kinda struggled with it. I could have done more ears but got carried away with the drawing, but I think I got them down pretty good.

Wow this character is awesome! He seems really scared/worried and I love the color palette that you are using, also the cicle that gives a lot of contrast to the focal point. The only thing is that I do not understand really well the smoke that comes out of the mouth, but maybe is related to other of your drawing pieces.
I'm looking forward to see your next works!

Thanks a lot, appreciate it. The smoke is more like a soul type smoke going out of the body. Also, I just thought why not add it, as I think it fits with the whole drawing.

Oh, that is awesome!! When you explained to me I said "Wow, why I didn't think about it" hahah
Maybe you could put some other elements to explain it more crearly in a next drawing of the same character, it's really a good idea!

Yeah sure, I will try to do something. This character was made accidentally while I was drawing from a reference and decided that the face needs change and something to make it look interesting. In the end, I just changed so many things that the only thing that was referenced was the cape I am really proud of the outcome and might want to explore with this character, maybe when I learn more of the background design stuff and incorporate him into it. Thanks for the feedback

Hey, I forgot to update this topic, but I am pretty much done with working on a house for a bit, and now I can get back to drawing daily. So recently I wanted to try to a fully painted piece with reference and I am really happy with how it turned out.

I am gonna continue with anatomy and figure drawing for now, as i want to get better at that. Any criticism is appreciated

Hey guys, long time since i updated you, but here is my first try to combine all the things I learned over the past weeks and do a realistic head with a reference. I mostly wanted to use a reference for being more accurate with the lighting and structure of the face. I am really proud of the result.

Any criticism is appreciated

I will be moving on to the next subject perspective 2.

i am back on the grind. I have studied here and there but I haven't done as much as I wanted. So I am gonna try to post my daily studies here and get back to it. Today I wanted to challenge myself and do some crazy clothing, which turned out to look really good. Also tried to improve my style a bit.

Also I followed Mark's lesson on anatomy and put mussels on real skeleton. There is definitely room for improvements and not everything is 100% correct, but with a bit more study I can get it to look accurate

UPDATE: i have been studying a lot this week, putting in 10 hours a day to studies and I can now see a lot of improvement. I start my day with gesture drawing and then do 1-3 h poses to study anatomy and at the end of the day, I do a bunch of faces that I find on Pinterest. I have found that drawing faces without the Loomis method gets me drawing better faces, I know what correct anatomy for the face is so placing face parts is easier. i will probably dump all the other studies here soon, but here is what I was able to do today. This is still from a photo reference, but I didn't have to compare it to the image to know what is good and whats not and I am really happy with the result and I actually had a lot of fun.
