Hi guys! I'm in need of some help ToT I'm working on this piece,this is the general idea, but there is something missing, the more I render it the more unsatisfied I am with the piece, it's like I start seeing that this piece is not enough, and i start seeing how bad my composition is and just the background idk , there's something missing. The piece is always gonna look unfinished unless I change something. I hope at least a portion of this makes sense to someone so I can get help

this last one is super cute. love what you have so far

As far as things I think you can work on, I think you can re work the shirts folds.
Another thing I recommend is maybe reworking the gesture of the hands.

Other than that, just keep refining.

Hi, first off I wanna say that I've noticed a lot of support from cubebrush on Instagram and I want to say that I'm really thankful of that. I wish more people would be active on the forum, to help and support each other more. ~

Anyway, here's my new piece. I didn't change the hand posture, cuz I kinda like her left hand and for the right one I just found it difficult and nothing worked(I need more skillz) I'm thorn for the end result, I like it but i feel like it's missing something. I've been watching a lot of Art school tutorials and hopefully I'll be able to do a full illustration type of piece that I'm happy with.

To be honest I think that the end result looks really good! I like the concept and the color palette. The faces you paint are also always a pleasure to look at

As for feedback, I'll say that there's something about her left hand that's bugging me a little, but I can't pinpoit the exact problem. And maybe you could add some shadow on her arms where her bracelet are, as they seem a bit tacked on right now. Nothing too complicated, but it could help make them blend better with the rest.

And maybe that the thing that you feel is missing is some kind of background. I'm not exactly sure of what it could be, but just think of a little story where this scene could take place and that could give you an idea of what kind of background to do.

But beyond that I think it's a really beautiful picture, just like the rest of your work!

I think the piece is really nice as well.

A few things I think you can add are:
Cast shadows from the bracelets onto the arms.
More of that blueish white light onto to face. She would need some more reflections on the eye's
You can also make the reflection on her lips a bit brighter as well. The bottom lip catches light a lot.

Other than that, really nice work. I really love what you did with the cloth. and the background color change helps a lot.

I also wish more people would give feedback as well, but, what can you do when some people are either shy, don't want to be or sound wrong or any other reason that i can't think of.

Keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing more.

I really like this last piece, I started doing a quick paint-over (hope you don't mind) when I realized that @malcom pretty much said what I was trying to show. I'll upload it anyway so you can see what he was talking about.

You have at least 5 light sources (1 main ambient light, and the 4 glowing leaves) so you need to factor these lights in to tie them into the picture. Think about where there are in space, and how much light they are giving off.
You can use this to your advantage to add texture (the hair for example).
Also, you would see the reflection of the leaves in her eyes and bracelets which has already been said.
You could also push some of your darker values, like in the hollow areas in the hair around the arms to add a bit more depth.
I love the colour palette you have chosen for this too. Keep up the good work!

She looks really good! Just one question though, is the defined edge going around her nose normal? That's really the only thing bothering me a little about this. The rest just looks so good
