Hello everyone! I'm Cédric and unsurprisingly I draw and paint. I already worked on Artschool last year and early this year, but haven't really worked on it recently. I decided that actually making a topic for my progress would probably be a good idea to get me back into it.

Here's where I am art wise...

And here's when I actually try my best XD

Soooo I guess I forgot about this

I don't know if it's worth posting here, but I guess it counts as observation drawing and studying. So here are a few outdoor sketches I did recently.

Hopefully I'll update with something more substantial soon!

Very nice sketches, especially both flowers ones, love them

Thanks @pitrek121

Here's some eyes I sketched. I tried coming up with various shapes as I pretty much always default to the same kind of eyes normally. So I wanted to break out of that a bit.

Plein air study of clouds made in pastel

Current acrylicstudy in progress

Lovely watercolor leaf!

@Julia_J Thanks! 'm glad you like it
@WeirdOwl Well, perhaps I am a wizard :joy:

Here's the finished leaf. I used glazing to add the colors to it. It was a bit of a struggle, since I'm not too experienced with that technique, but I think the result is not too terrible.

I guess now I can get towrk on some actual assignements

very nice Cedric! in traditional media I can only paint house with the tree and smiley sun xD

@Frygidal That's a classic subject! I want to see that now XD I think in the end traditional art skills feeds your digital skills and digital skills feeds your traditional skills. And seeing that you have nice skills in digital arts, I think you're selling yourself a bit short. It's just about taking the time to try out various mediums and finding the ones that suits you best.

Alright, so here's my first gesture drawings since the beggining of the year I believe. So I,m really rusty. I'm planning to do thirty 30 seconds poses every day for the next month. I don't think I ever did that and I'm interested to see the change that will happen in one month, if any.

Here's also a new drawing of nature. This time it's rocks. I started as a hatching exercise, but I thought it's be nice to turn it into a "finished" picture so I added some quick colors and shading. I call it "Love Rocks".

Oh and I guess I forgot to post this ear study I made in pastels last month. So there you go

Day 2 of gesture drawings. I'm not sure if I should keep posting those gestures daily or if I should post them every few days when I have multiple sessions done. We'll see!
