I made a little painting experiment using a technique I never used before. I was inspired by the technique used by the flemish painters from the 15 century who painted using a glazing technique.
Transfer the sketch to the painting surface.

Cover everything with a warm tone wash and lay in the light with white.

Add some shadows using a dark blue.

What I did is not anywhere as good, but I learned a lot and I quite enjoyed the process. Unfortunately, the scanning killed the subtlety of the colors a little bit, but I just have to deal with it.
