Heya! I'm Chaos and I've been drawing all my life, but recently I feel like I hit a plateau in my art. I decided to take art school to help strengthen my fundamentals and hopefully help me be able to make a career from my art!

So it's actually been awhile since I started Art school before I decided to post here so I do have a few assignments that I completed from term 1, I'll probably post them until I catch up to my current work.

I decided to start with the pen control and color adjustment assignments to warm up a bit before I tackled the other classes. The last picture was the hardest to match, but I think I got pretty close.

hello Chaos! Welcome to the forum! really love the color correction and tonal correction! its almost or exactly the on the right! Pen control is going well keep up the consistent work and over time you will slowly get it. keep it up! i will be looking forward to your progress!

Thank you for the welcome and kind words, I'm glad to be here! Honestly the last color correction took way more time then I'm willing to admit!

This is quite a lot but, here are some of the sketches/ general anatomy studies I did. I also had finished the proportions assignment by this point.

Dude, I could have written the same statement. I feel exactly the same about my art. But I am sure this course would help us a lot to go the next leve. I am so excited. I look forward to see what you´ve got there.

Actually that is incredible. I like plenty of work being shown. It is the way to go than just trying to move on to the next assignment. Congrats on all that hard work. I am still working on mines, to get a decent ammount of exercises.

Thank you my guy! A lot of this stuff is a bit older but, I really wanted to take my time with the early stuff to make sure I have a proper understanding of what I'm learning. I haven't done too many studies as of recent but, I do try to incorporate some kind of learning experience into whatever drawings I do.

Great job, I really like the grass mixing with the rock, it makes it look natural.
One thing I think you could do on these studies to make even better is reinforce design theory, applying the "big, medium, small" concept. It creates a "size hierarchy" and makes the design more interesting.

Thank you! Making the general shapes and forms of the rock was certainly a challenge for me so I'll be sure to keep size hierarchy in mind for the future projects and studies!

Fooled around with some 1-2 point perspective as practice for the projects. Perspective with inorganic objects really isn't a strong skill of mine so I wanted to really take my time with these assignments.
