10 days later
Here I am, sorry last week I've done just my challenge
Today I finished watching the landscape tutorial from Noah Bradley and here there are some sketchy thumbnails, hopefully I will get better in these things
the first line is from following his tutorial, the second one from photos and the last one from other drawings.
Hope you'll like them
Thanks guys!! I will try in the next days maybe I will try to draw in a large scale the most inspiring ones in this list of thumbnails, Peter If you like that one I will trust you hahah
Here others, I tried to focus more on sci fi landscapes because I'll like to put them in my portfolio and I'm trying to understand how they works and getting confortable with them. They're pretty bad, make sure to watch them zooming ooooout hahha
Sorry guys for not being so active here in the last weeks, I will try to go back to my everyday posts
Here is some work that I've done in the last couple of days/weeks (of course just environment things
)
this was what I've done for the stream of 2 weeks ago, actually pretty proud of that (rare words from me hahah).
Here instead I tried to do some siluette studies, it was pretty interesting to do and funny too.
This is a thumbnail study (pretty big for being thumbnails probably hahah) from the google maps random generator, I put the link if someone is interested
https://randomstreetview.com/
p.s. Forgot to see some china landscapes
This week I also started to find references from a particular time of the day (sunrise in this case) to understand how it actually works and figure out what are the main colors and how the light behaves. Those are still WIP, maybe I will choose one to put much effort into.
I wanted to search some landscapes of the same place in different parts of the day, do you have any advice in how to find those references?
Love you guys Have a good day
Oh Chiara that's fantastic work, top thumbnails are awesome!! I would only distribute these 3 towers more random, Ross Draws always say 3 things should be 2+1, but shapes and depth are great <3
Shape study is also so lovely, I adore clouds the most, they are so lively! Rock are 2nd best, trees are also good but they look like drawn by a different person
Light on the last ones is also AH, oh Chiara, your environments are getting so good, hope to see some finished work soon!
Thanks @pitrek121!!! for the ross draws advice are you referring to a particular video? I'm interested in it.
I think that trees maybe are not as good because there are not internal lines, probably I don't know hahah
I will try to finish something for the end of the week, hopefully hahah
Yesterday I've done some tree studies (thanks alphonso dunn I love you hahaha) and today I will try to undestand how to render them, I'm not too familiar with it.
In the first sheet I've tried with some different brushes but I could definitely do it better, It's difficult actually to make them look 3D, let's see
For the second one I was trying to work on my visual library of trees, actually one of my dreams was to illustrate a botanical book
Thanks guys
I finished rendering the trees (I found the perfect tutorial on youtube, thanks god hahah ) and I worked also on 10 minute thumbnails, It's a bit stressful to get everything done but I I think that I'm getting better, I'm not completely satisfied but definitely better than before
I put you down the link for the tutorial if someone is interested in these things
