I'd say your best is pretty damn good, those are really close! Good work!

I had a busy week but I finally finished the assignments for week 2!

Doing the castle assignment was definitely my favorite part of it, but i struggled with the liquify tool.

Some pen control practice and gesture drawing exercises for week 3!

Heyo! That's a lot of good work! Hope you get better!

oh wow your perspective studies look so nice and i absolutely love your painting that you did your color and shape language is so pretty

All your studies look great!

Hello again! Thank you all for your kind comments ^^ I've been feeling a lot better now so I continued working on week 6.

I think that working on these gesture drawing assignments has helped me a lot in imagining different kinds of poses. I'm still not the best at it, but seeing my progress fills me with a lot of confidence, because it's something I struggle with every time I'm drawing.

I tried to look for different objects around my home and draw them at different angles. These exercises help a lot when imagining different shapes, so i think i'll keep doing them in the future.

I honestly got confused and instead of doing a study of environment drawings I did characters, but I still want to share it because I spent a lot of time on it heh.

These are all drawings made by Michelle Fus. They are the creator of one of my favorite webcomics, and they have also been one of my great inspirations in drawing. Their style is mostly achieved by painting over the lines so the lineart is not very noticeable in some parts, but it was still good to study their drawings because I would also like to use that same technique in my future work.

For the last assignment of this week I did a witch room! The rooms in my house are really boring so I decided to do something from my imagination. I think this is my third time drawing a room, but I'm a little proud of putting so many details onto it. I hope that over time I can improve and add many more details to this type of drawings.

I think i'll work on the environment drawings as well as some personal art for week 7, so see you in a week!

omg those frogs are so adorable

Hello! I was going to post on monday but i was a little busy, so here are some of the environment studies i needed to do the week before!

This is a scene is from a movie called "The Cat Returns" I really loved how detailed the backgrounds were so i wanted to try doing it, and wow it was a lot of work. I really appreciate all the work they did on this movie, it shows that they put a lot of effort into it.

I wanted to keep studying the art of Michelle Fus, so this time i did two different scenes from her webcomic. Having almost no lineart made these studies a lot more difficult, but it was good to learn the way they make these backgrounds.

I finally finished week 8! I don't think I've ever drawn this much before, so I'm really proud of myself for finishing term 1.

I'm not really good at making backgrounds in my drawings, but doing these studies made me realize that the process can be really fun, and that I shouldn't be afraid to include them, even if I still lack the ability to make them perfect.

But I also realized that doing buildings can be really difficult. I struggled a little trying to think of ideas for this assignment, I'm really not the best when it comes to imagining scenarios, so i think it's something i have to improve in the future.

Oh, and I don't think I ever shared the male-female proportions assignment, I probably forgot, so i'll share it now!

I liked the assignments for term 1, now that I am dedicating a large part of my time to drawing, these practices have helped me a lot. There are still many things I want to learn so probably this week or next I will continue with term 2. And thanks to everyone who has liked my work for the past few weeks!
