Thank you so much! and yes the pointy ear was intentional xD I wanted to make a different ear since I usually don't put a lot of detail into that part of the head, and I also have a lot of characters from fantasy settings that I would like to bring to life one day.

Week 4 let's go!

For this week I did some exercises with shapes, and i'm honestly becoming a lot more comfortable doing these so that's really good!

The real challenge was the perspective assignment, I think I lost some braincells trying to get it finished, but it was good to do something that I wouldn't otherwise do by choice.

I had the idea of making different bridges that would go on forever, and at some point I also wanted to add a building on the background, but maybe it was too ambitious for an exercise I'd never done before, so I stuck with the bridges.

I also tried to make the head with all the facial features. At first the head looked really ??? and I was even more ??? while making the nose, I think it has to be the most difficult part of the head for me. Honestly, the eyes were much easier to do, as well as the lips and eyebrows, and I'm still learning about shadows and highlights, so I did my best.

I was honestly very sleep deprived while making this xD but I think it doesn't look that bad, maybe I should've added more details with the shading.

Week 5! I've been so busy these days I almost forgot to post here.

Starting with some more gesture drawings! I'm not sure if I'm getting better at this, but I hope so.

I did some portrait studies as well. I think the faces might look similar, but maybe some shading would have made them look better. I don't really like making realistic faces, but it was still good practice.

I also tried practicing with a 3 point perspective, but I was getting overwhelmed with so many lines O.O

Although in a very strange way, making this building was much easier than the practice. I didn't add many details because it was getting too complex, but I'm happy with the final result

I've also been doing some personal art recently, so that's why I've been a little slow with the assignments, but I'll try to finish as much as I can for week 6!

This is all great work man, gestures are clear, linework in general is very clean, potraits all look great! If there is anything to note I guess the building could use a bit more line weight to match the perspective, but it still looks really good!

Hello again!I couldn't really do much for week 6, but here is the work I have been doing.

For some reason 1 min poses are really hard to do, and I'm also very slow at drawing (¬ ¬ ) so I guess I need to work on being a little faster.

I'm not sure if the proportions are completely correct with the 4 point perspective. I was also struggling a lot more with the male model than the female one, but I think they don't look too bad, maybe I just needed to make their heads smaller.

Sometimes the hair I make looks good, and sometimes is terrible. I think the two at the top are much better than the others, and I kind of of gave up with the one on the lower right because it was making me angry XD I also wanted to make short hair, but I forgot :)) so maybe i'll do it later.

And I'll also share my newest Illustration!

I made the character Fleta from the game Pocket Mirror. At first I wanted to make a different character, but I changed my mind after trying different poses.

The first image was my initial sketch, and the second is the finished illustration! I'm honestly a little proud of the flowers because they were giving me a headache.

Oh illustration looks so cute! I like the variation in color and flowers look really nice. Great work!

One thing that stands out to me is that the whole piece is in similar value. You could make flowers a bit darker and character would pop out more.

Yo! your artwork is amazing! It's very colorful and cute! I love the color selection and the overall style! Incredibly professional too.

I agree with @patrycja.lerch though, if there is any feedback, is that maybe it's strong all over the place and hard to focus on specific points. If you feel the eyes of both are the focus points, maybe adjust values across the piece to have them pop more, or at least lower the saturation of the BG elements.

Ohterwise there's not much I'd change, the linework is great, the shading is so soft it feel like looking at a cupcake. Looking forward to seeing more!

Those vibrant colors, I don't know much about color harmony but that use of complementary colors is very good

I definitely need to work a lot more on the backgrounds so I really appreciate the help! I'm still figuring out how to work with focus points, but I'll do my best with future illustrations :DD

I almost forgot to share my work for week 8 so hello again!

And the last thing I did was a monster! I actually got this idea some time ago but I was too busy to draw it so I took this opportunity to finally do it.

I didn't really want to make it so detailed because it would have taken me many more days to finish, so I decided to put just a little color on it to make it look alive.

I'm not sure if the perspective is alright, but I tried my best, and pls don't look at the hands too much ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ ) it's my first time drawing them at this angle and I was already struggling with 4 fingers, I refuse to acknowledge the existence of a fifth.

With this I finished term 2 yayyyy!! I'm honestly very grateful for all these exercises, I probably wouldn't have the will to do them on my own if it weren't for this art school.

Also thank you all very much for your kind advice and answers, I'll probably come back next week starting term 3, and maybe I'll finally start learning how to make clothes!

Cool picture! It feel more focused, though some colors are a bit too saturated, even for highlights (neon blue or neon orange in the center). Maybe it's me, worth hearing from others as well, but the hue is so high to the point it's almost hard to see.

Congrats! I believe the companion guide ramps up even further with term 3.

I was actually thinking about strawberry shortcake and lalaloopsy dolls while making it! But I can see how it could look inspired by Cuphead and Poppy Playtime, I like those games too.

It's finally time for term 3!

For the first week I did some more exercises with faces and shapes!

And also some more environment drawings!

The last assignment was a photo study, and honestly I've never done one before so I tried my best. I think I chose a very difficult photo, but I only realized it when I was halfway through the process, so I thought I should at least try to finish it. ┐(´ー｀)┌

The colors are definitely not the same, and the dress was too detailed for my skills to work with at the moment. I also did not give too much attention to the ruffles on the lower part of the dress, I was already struggling to understand the folds and didn't want to make my life more difficult. (･ω･)b

This is all great! All well costructed, well drawn, good lineart and the photo study is REALLY nice! All the intrinsic details, well painted folds and well blended shades. You're really good at this.

Hello again! Time for week 2!

First I did some gesture drawing exercises and clothing studies!

I also did some studies with fictional characters.

The hardest thing to do was this clothing assignment. It took me a long time to figure out where the folds should be placed, but I think I did a good job!

I was trying to find an easy pose and I liked this photo, but because there was an object in front of the torso then I just painted over it, sorry if it looks a little silly (ᵕ—ᴗ—)
