Just for anyone wondering if you can do a good job with cloning, as in using the see through in zbrush and replicate a silhouette on our base mesh then use retopology you can still do what you want though at least you have had to have done the strokes to get to that stage.

Just in case the harsh / strict rules deter anyone, you just have to put in the work like others.
Hope to see more updates to those that fall into the category of disqualifications and make an effort to change this.

I didn't mean to press that it is for your benefit that you learn to make things more appealing than to just use a tool that creates an appealing base like make human, that is really a hinder to progression in your artistic endeavors than anything else.

It is really a good thing in disguise i have to learn this also, so you are not alone.
Thread deleted and i have to start a new, so i am not blowing smoke up your butt, I will be doing the same and showing the progression as well to solidify my position in this race.

Best of luck to all those whom have to do the same.

Just to be clear, I've deleted that topic as a request. You weren't disqualified :sunny:

Is the T-pose mandatory? or can the character be posed? i see alot of entrys were the models is sculpted already posed

Buen día quisiera saber donde potear el bosqueo y el arte final  Gracias.

Hey, I have a questioned regarding 3D character rules.

I am aware this is a solo contest but are you allowed to have your character rigged and animated by someone else? For example doing the final pose and maybe some animation stuff in the marmoset viewer?
Does anyone know whether this is ok?

Thanks!

I wouldn't do it, i think the theme is do it all yourself, from what I've read.

The model has to be real-time or can be rendered in Arnold/Vray etc. ?

@jakubek No mentions of real-time anywhere

I am finding that when someone tags me in their post, @(username) i don't get notifications, I often tag people to ask them specific things about their workflow, they reply but unless i see that thread again, and happen to see that they called me out, I would completely miss it.

It seems that others are experiencing this issue. I make sure to change my settings so that I get notifications, but I never receive them. Is this going to be fixed in the relative future?

I paint 3D in Tilt Brush with the HTC Vive. Is that an acceptable 3D format for this? Its kind of a hybrid between 2D and 3D, being virtual and all, so I am unsure. Thanks in advance!

Hi there! Im new to this forum so I dont really know were to post my character. Could someone help me please? Thanks

Please read the FAQ first : )

Does anybody have an idea what would be a good polycount so that the final entry meets the 20MB condition of marmoset viewer?

The lowest I was able to get it during early tests of my WIP was 35MB

So that I'm not zremesing like crazy trying to preserve my detail.

Just do a test. I managed to fit approximately 400k triangles with simple shaders and no textures. Not so much

hmm, I might be able to with some of the parts. There are others however that have alphas that can only be seen at high res. I'll give it a shot, thanks.

Hey guys! I'm making my submission now and I have a question. If I am wanting to submit a posed model into the Marmoset viewer, do you also want her T pose in a viewer, or on a sheet? Thanks so much!

Im working on a 3D submission, however i usually just start directly in zbrush and dont really use 2d concepts at all for my models.

So what do i do for the Concept Sheet? i dont have any fancy 2D, should i put my 3D blockout in there or ?
